World Vision Kenya and Turkana County Government embarked on a productive engagement centred around the renewal of their framework agreement.
The discussion revolved around bolstering the already fruitful collaboration between the two entities.
World Vision Representative Tom Masionde said the organization aims to align its shared goals and aspirations with a renewed framework.
The team outlined areas of collaboration with the County. The government’s role and that of World Vision in implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) stood out strongly in the discussion.
The participants had the chance to offer their informed perspectives while highlighting key points of collaborative efforts.
It was agreed that World Vision’s initiatives would integrate into the County Integrated Development Plan III, and to the Governor’s 9-Point Transformative Agenda, thus becoming a formidable force in driving development to the next level.
Deputy Governor Dr. John Erus expressed his gratitude to World Vision for their unwavering commitment to partnerships, while acknowledging the organization’s past contributions in infrastructure development even before the advent of devolution.
Dr. Erus called upon development partners to focus their investments on high-impact projects, emphasising effective coordination in implementation has a direct impact on MOUs.
He stressed that understanding the challenges World Vision faces fosters a deeper and more effective partnership, enabling both entities to progress together.
The DG also emphasized the importance of technical expertise in executing development programs.
