Woman found murdered in her house in Suba South Sub County

Police in Suba South Sub County have launched investigations into the death of a 53 year old woman  who was murdered in her homestead at Ng’ura village in Nyatoto sub location of Homa Bay County by unknown gangsters .

The deceased identified as Mary Airo, a widow was attacked and killed by the suspects when she was alone at her homestead last evening under unclear circumstance.

According to the area assistant chief, Norah Okumu, she received a call from a member of the public who heard the commotion at the homestead and upon reaching the scene they found the lifeless body of the woman lying in a pool of blood.

Okumu added that when she conducted a search in the compound, they found stains of blood next to her sons’ house indicating that she could have been killed within the compound and her body taken back to the house and dumped on the chair.

The administrator further revealed that upon examining the body they realized that her left ear had visible injuries which they suspected might have been caused by a blunt object.

Confirming the incident to KNA, area Sub County Police Commander, Antony  Njeru  said that already they have arrested one suspect who is assisting them with the investigations.

Njeru added that the suspect was nabbed on Monday evening and will be arraigned in court once implicated into the heinous act.

The officer further appealed to members of the public with any relevant information regarding the murder of the widow to confide it to security agencies.

The body of the deceased was moved to Suba South Sub county Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
