A 28- year- old man was on Sunday night stabbed to death by his wife at Shimo estate in Wote town, Makueni County after a domestic quarrel that turned tragic.
According to police reports, the deceased identified as Kennedy Mutunga bled to death after he was stabbed in the lower abdomen by his 27- year- old wife during a fight.
County Police Commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan said preliminary reports into the incident indicated that the late Mutunga picked a quarrel with his wife Jennifer Nduku after arriving from a drinking spree at around 7.30 pm.
Ole Naipeyan said a fight broke out after an argument before the wife rushed to the kitchen for a knife and stabbed her husband in the stomach.
The deceased was rushed to the Makueni County Referral hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The wife later surrendered herself to the police at the Makueni police station pending further investigations.
The body of the deceased was taken to the hospital’s mortuary.
