Madogo Water Project in Tana River County is set to be improved so that the residents who are now experiencing water supply rationing would get uninterrupted water supply for domestic use.
Tana RiverWater and Sewerage Company (TAWASCO) Managing Director Engineer William Jilo said, the Water Trust Fund will allocate Sh16.6 million and Tana River County Government Sh3.3 million for the project.
Speaking to the press today in his Hola office, Eng Jilo said, the project will address the current water pressure that is low therefore, water supply does not reach many consumers.
He said, more distribution lines will be added as well as adding metering of water connections for water users, saying the project will be completed before the end of this year.
Eng Jilo further said the renovation works at the water project will cost a total of Sh20 million.
