Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Eugene Wamalwa has underscored the need for peace building if the Big 4 national agenda was to succeed.
Singling out the recent developments during President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila tour of Kisumu and Siaya counties, Wamalwa said the move set the pace for the country’s sustainable development.
Presiding over a fund raiser in aid of Riatuya SDA church in Borabu, Nyamira County, the CS also said supporting the initiative will address constitutional hitches affecting the country.
He claimed that legislators were more united than before under the building bridges initiative, adding that it was the only way the country should move forward.
Borabu MP Ben Momanyi echoed similar sentiments but put on notice some unnamed losers in the last general elections whom he accused of misinforming the head of state whenever he visited the area about issues affecting the constituency.
Momanyi dared them to come down and face-off with him on the platform of development before constituents decide on their future leaders.
Area governor John Nyagarama claimed the council of governors was ahead having identified members to steer the envisaged referendum which he urged residents to support.
