The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials in Kuresoi South have confirmed that they have received 75 percent of the ballot boxes after yesterday’s voting.
As vote counting enters day two today, the clerks have continued to hand in their ballot boxes for verification and final tallying of the sub-county results.
The security officers manning the sub-county’s tallying station at Keringet Boarding Primary School have not had a rough time as all is going on well and they are allowing only election officials, the media and election stakeholders to access the venue.
In a spot check by KNA, the presiding officers handing in the ballot boxes to the returning officer were positive that the process will be done by today.
A total 86 stations have delivered their ballot boxes out of the total of 115 polling stations within the sub-county and this is due to the vast area.
