UDA nominee sworn into office in West Pokot

Elijah Kaseseu was Thursday sworn into West Pokot County Assembly as nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) after he was gazetted three days ago.

Kaseseu a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party member’s nomination had been disputed but resolved by the Party and awarded the youth nomination position.

The swearing in was presided over by the West Pokot County assembly speaker Fred Kaptui.

Wewei MCA David Moiben said the nomination of the member to the West Pokot county assembly third August house is a plus to the youth of west Pokot.

In his speech, Kaseseu thanked the almighty God for having been considered for the second time and promised to work with other members without bias to offer oversight.

He added that he will ensure that bills that benefits youth and people of West Pokot are prioritized.

The nominated MCA later addressed his supporters at Makutano town.

Majority leader Martin Komongiro who escorted the nominee to the assembly said his nomination will boost the UDA wing of the county assembly.
