Isiolo Governor Dr. Mohamed Kuti has appealed to public servants to maintain integrity while serving the public.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of two nominees to Isiolo County Public Service Board Thursday, Dr. Kuti asked the board to expedite the ongoing recruitment of health workers to assist in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The governor said his office will offer necessary support to the board and other public servants working for the residents of Isiolo in discharging their duties.
The two nominees to the Isiolo County Public Service Board are Mohammed Abdullahi (Secretary) and Abdi Godana (member).
Dr. Kuti refuted allegations that the board’s secretary was fished from a neighbouring County saying all the applicants for the position were recruited according to their merit and the prerequisite qualifications.
“The one who was picked met the requirements which included being a Certified Public Secretary (CPS) which other applicants lacked,” he said.
