Two Die in Nakuru Accident

Two people have succumbed to death after they were involved in an accident at Migaa area along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

Confirming the incident Molo police boss, Samuel Mukusi said that the duo were the driver of the lorry and a female passenger both of who are yet to be identified.

According to Mukusi, the driver who was ferrying animal feed lost control and rolled severally.

In a separate accident at Sachangwan area in Molo sub-county, four people are nursing injuries after the matatu they were travelling in lost control and rammed into a bus heading the same direction.

According to an area resident who witnessed the scene Paul Ngeno, the Nairobi bound Nissan matatu was being driven at a high speed when it lost control and hit the bus from behind.

Locals responded fast and assisted in rushing the injured to Molo sub-county hospital where they are receiving treatment.

Mukusi urged the road users to observe the traffic rules and abide by them in a bid to help reduce accidents happening along this 11km stretch.

Due to the increasing number of accidents, the government upgraded to road to a dual carriageway that has since helped in the reduction of the frequency of accidents along the stretch.

Bodies of the deceased are lying at the Molo sub-county hospital mortuary.
