Two brothers together with their mother were on Friday charged in a Homa bay court with charges of defiling a 16 year old girl contrary to the sexual offences Act.
The two brothers, Kevin Ouma and Tyson Onyango were charged that on May 7, this year at Pala Masogo village in Homa Bay County, jointly with others not before the court, they defiled the minor who is a form two student in one of the secondary schools in the area after detaining her for one week in the house.
The duo also faced another charge of unlawfully and intentionally touching the private parts of the minor contrary to her consent.
While the third accused Mary Achieng was charged with failing to prevent her sons from committing the heinous act contrary to section 392 of the penal code.
The duo denied the charges before Principal Magistrate (PM), Lester Simiyu who granted them a bond of sh. 200,000 each or surety of similar amount.
They were unable to raise the bond and remanded at Homa Bay GK Prison until May 30 this year when their case will come up for mention while hearing was fixed for June 19, this year.
The mother, Mary Achieng was released on her personal bond after considering she is physically incapacitated and her case will also be mentioned on the same day.
