Khwisero Member of Parliament (MP) Christopher Aseka yesterday commissioned a 13-storey tuition block in Khushiku sub-location, Kisa Central Ward.
The facility, which has five classrooms and a science laboratory, is meant for Ekambuli Primary and Junior Secondary and is funded through the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).
Aseka said he is committed to enhancing educational infrastructure and targets to build 25 such blocks by the end of 2027 for the students in the area.
“Our target is to have the best possible learning environment. We will build 25 such blocks by the end of 2027, funded by the NG-CDF kitty,” he said.
The MP also visited Ebukwala Primary and Junior School to inspect the ongoing construction of a new tuition storey block that features six classrooms and a state-of-the-art science laboratory.
“As part of my commitment to education and community development, I visited Ebukwala Primary School to see the progress of the construction,” he pointed.
The MP also assured the community and the teachers that the project would be completed as scheduled courtesy of NG-CDF.
“I had the opportunity to engage with the teachers and other stakeholders to further the agenda of education by enhancing the quality of teaching in Khwisero schools,” he added.
He said every pupil deserves a conducive learning environment, and investment in education will ensure that the children acquire the necessary knowledge for their betterment.
“To meaningfully contribute to Khwisero’s development and transformation, all the science laboratories will be designed to meet the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC) standards while providing a modern and spacious environment for teaching and learning,” he said.
The legislator also reaffirmed his pledge to support educational institutions across the Constituency during his tenure.
