The state-run Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) is to partner with the Vihiga county government to air development programmes in the county.
The KBC team led by the radio manager Mary Daraja on Thursday met governor Dr. Wilber Ottichilo and explored possible areas of partnership and engagement.
They agreed that the national broadcaster disseminates information on agriculture, trade and investment promotion to woo potential investors to the county.
Governor Ottichilo appreciated the role played by the media in the society and welcomed the new-found collaboration.
He stated that the broadcaster will be showcasing untapped opportunities, sharing devolution success stories and unique cultural practices.
“Other areas to be covered include tourist attractions, climate change mitigation and mitigation measures,” he asserted.
The radio manager promised to come up with high quality content on the county for the audiences.
