Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu jetted into the country this onTuesday morning for a two-day state visit in Kenya, her first since she took over the presidency following the death of John Pombe Magufuli in March.
She was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by the Kenyan Foreign CS Raychelle Omamo and Sports CS Ambassador Amina Mohamed among other leaders.
She immediately headed to State House Nairobi for a meeting with her host President Uhuru Kenyatta where she was bequeath with a full guard of honour complete with a twenty one gun salute.
This is the first time a Tanzanian President who is also the first woman president in the East African nation to make a state visit to Kenya
During the visit she is expected to address a joint sitting of the National Assembly and the Senate on Wednesday.
