Tallying of votes kicks off in Ugunja Constituency

Vote tallying in Ugunja Constituency is taking place at Ambira High School, the constituency tallying center, kicked off this morning at 8am.

Ballot boxes from the 116 polling stations started arriving at the tallying center from as early as 3am in the morning with some delays attributed to late closing of some polling stations such as Ngunya Primary that experienced delays due to failure of some KIEMS kits that led to extension of voting time.

Ugunja Constituency recorded an average voter turnout with 62 percent of the registered voters showing up to cast their ballot by closing of polling time yesterday according to a survey conducted by Kenya News Agency.
