Suspected rapists arrested

Police in Mumias West Sub-County have arrested two suspects in connection with the attack on a 23-year-old woman at her house at Buchifi village on Monday night.
The two men are believed to have been among a three-man gang who attacked the woman at her house and stole several bags of maize before allegedly assaulting her sexually.
Mumias West Sub Police Commander Paul Kipkorir said that the suspects will be arraigned in court to face charges of the offence.
He said the victim was rushed to Butere Sub-county hospital by fellow villagers where she received treatment and was discharged.
Mr. Korir said the police are looking for the third suspect who escaped and called on the area residents to be on high alert for such criminals.
