Muhoroni sub county ODM Chairman Jerim Odada has called on residents to support Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) by appending their signatures on the provided documents.
He said the BBI had taken interests of Kenyans and created avenue for increased resources at the grassroots.
“The document is promising and we are urging the residents to append their signatures to support the initiative and referendum thereafter,” he said.
He also encouraged online registration to support the plebiscite which will be conducted next year by June.
“So far we are pleased with the number of people who have shown interest by signing for the poll. However we are still calling upon more people to come forward and support BBI,” he said.
While speaking on Monday in Ombeyi ward, the chairman said as a party they are committed to collect as many signatures as possible for onward transmission to the Independent and Electoral Boundary Commission (IEBC).
He said the plan supported by President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Premier Raila Odinga through handshake will ensure equitable allocation of resources and promote inclusivity.
The chairman was accompanied by Muhoroni Koru ward ODM Secretary Women league Benta Ayoo and Youth leader George Otieno.
