Students to start applying for bursary in Khwisero Sub-County

Students in Khwisero Sub County have been encouraged to apply for the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) bursary before schools re-open next year.

Area MP Christopher Aseka said the applications have opened and the forms are available in all Public Primary Schools in the Constituency.

“The application forms are available in nearby Primary Schools for students joining Colleges and Universities in this financial year. The exercise will be closed next month on December 4, 2023,” he said.

The bursary has helped most students from poor backgrounds in the region to fulfill their dreams of completing their education.

The legislator said his priority on education has led to increased infrastructural facilities in the learning institutions and elevated academic performance in the region.

Aseka said he will collaborate with other key stakeholders including the school management and the community to improve infrastructure in schools.

“I am committed to supporting education in the Constituency through scholarships and bursaries,” he affirmed.

Aseka while inspecting various NG-CDF projects in the area yesterday said he will continue engaging the community on their need be priorities for sustainable development in the area.

The fund has also been used to build various storey buildings for schools including Khwisero Girls and Shiongo Secondary Schools among others.

He said the completed forms should be returned to the same point of collection by December18, this year.
