Starlet to Face Cameroon on Second Leg of WAFCON at Nyayo Stadium

The Kenya Women National team, Harambee Starlets is set to face Cameroon in the second leg of their Women Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier (WAFCON) first round tie today Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the Nyayo National Stadium at 3.00pm.

Starlets who lost 1-0 in the first leg played on Friday, September 22, 2023, in Douala, Cameroon jetted back into the country over the weekend and headed straight to camp at the Stadion Hotel in Kasarani ahead of their second leg match.

In a press statement sent to newsrooms, FKF announced that it has waived gate charges for the match in a bid to rally support towards the Starlets’ second ever WAFCON bid.

FKF said stadium gates will be open to the public from 10 am and invited schools and academies to the match where they will have designated sitting area.

“Interested schools and academies are required to reach out to Jectan on contact +254 727 382466 in advance to facilitate their access to the stadium,” said the statement.

The match shall be aired live on the Harambee Starlets’ social media platforms (https://web.facebook.com/HarambeeStarlets).

Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) has appointed the following officials to take charge of the match,  Center Referee will be  Maria Packuita Rivet (Mauritius),  First Assistant Referee, Windy Rambhoro (Mauritius), Second Assistant Referee,  Bernadettar  Kwimbira (Malawi) Fourth Official, Mercy Kayira (Malawi) Match Commissioner, Aisha Nalule (Uganda) Referee Assessor, Constance  Wejuli (Uganda).
