At least 150 Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) in Laikipia County are expected to showcase their innovations during the Africa Industrialization week, which kicked-off in Nanyuki town.
This year’s theme is “Industrialization Africa, Renewed Commitments towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization and Economic Diversification”, will help residents in marketing and selling their innovated products in different parts of the country.

“Our work is to support all the manufacturers and ensure they are able to recoup capital invested in their innovations,” Dr Akoten said, adding, the government is also keen in protecting consumers from buying fake products in bid to make Kenya an industrialized country by year 2030.
The event which started Monday, November 15, will end on Sunday, November 21, 2021 where Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development, Ms Betty Maina, is expected to officially open the celebrations on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.
