Smart Applications embarks on Transforming Healthcare Technology in Kenya

Tech firm Smart Applications International (Smart) has launched an advanced digital system designed to enhance health care services and streamline patient operations.

A leading provider of innovative digital healthcare solutions across Africa with ISO certification and extensive regional expertise, Smart leverages advanced technology to enhance access to quality healthcare services, benefiting healthcare providers, insurers, and patients alike.

Under the theme ‘Empowering Healthcare Access Through Patient-Centered Care’ the event also aimed to unite health care providers and industry leaders to advance transformative healthcare delivery as well as highlight achievements and address pressing challenges in Kenya’s healthcare sector.

Speaking in Nairobi, Smart Application international Group Managing Director (MD) Harrison Muiru reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to partnerships as a cornerstone for healthcare transformation.

Muiru highlighted the role of technology in delivering efficient customer services and commended Kenya’s strides in healthcare as he emphasized the need for partnerships to drive innovation.

Concurrently, Smart Application International, Head of Hospital Operations Esther Macharia, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the strong turnout, which included representatives from over 250 healthcare facilities leveraging Smart’s solutions.

“Your active participation underscores our collective commitment to advancing Kenya’s healthcare system. Together, we can drive innovation, exchange invaluable insights, and foster meaningful change,” she assured, adding that smart application international looks forward to strengthening partnerships and building a healthier, brighter future for all.

The Nairobi forum followed the success of previous events across Mount Kenya, Northeastern, Coastal, Western, and Rift Valley regions, reflecting the substantial progress Smart has made in forging strong connections with healthcare providers nationwide.

These forums embody Smart’s mission to understand healthcare provider needs and improve patient experiences through cutting-edge technology.

Macharia highlighted these obstacles, framing them as opportunities to leverage technology for transformative solutions.

“These advancements have positioned Smart as a catalyst for meaningful change, helping providers overcome inefficiencies and elevate the standard of care,” she noted.

The forum spotlighted the measurable impact of Smart’s solutions of Ksh132 million ($1.4 million) processed daily, bolstering hospital cash flows and operational efficiency support for 18,460 patient visits daily across Kenya, reflecting improved accessibility and outcomes.

These milestones underscore the power of innovation and collaboration in shaping the future of healthcare delivery.

She highlighted a collaborative Inspiring success stories shared by healthcare providers where smart-enabled facilities have reduced wait times and operational delays, and enhanced workflows and internal communication.

Other collaborative success includes lowering the costs of care delivery and Strengthening revenue assurance for growth and sustainability.
