Sibling donates kidney to sister but appeals for assistance for transplant

The year 2020 may have set in on a healthy note for many people, but not so for Emily Wabwile who is battling kidney failure and requires Sh2.5 million to undergo an immediate transplant.
Luckily for Emily, her sister, Stella Wabwile, has volunteered to donate her kidney and she sees the gesture as divine intervention
Emily was diagnosed in 2016 and has been undergoing dialysis since.
“I have been undergoing dialysis for all this time but the doctors now say a transplant is inevitable”, she said.
However, raising money remains the biggest challenge for the family. She requires to raise Sh2.5 million to go through the procedure.
The two sisters have worked through the various tests and steps before the transplant, which is scheduled to take place at the Moi teaching and referral hospital once the money is made available.
Emily Wabwile is a resident of Kabula Ward in Bumula constituency.
She is appealing for financial help from well-wishers to enable her undergo a kidney transplant next month.
Emily who is married and has two young children says her husband is unemployed.
Her father James Wabwile says he retired many years back and has no way of raising the money needed for her daughter to get the transplant.
“The little I had saved was spent on drugs and as a family we are now stranded,” he said.
The family is now seeking the help of well-wishers to step in and help save her life. “We shall be grateful.” said the father. Any amount may be sent to the family through Mpesa No +254 735 605 475.
