Over Sh4.2 million was disbursed Tuesday to six primary schools in Butere Sub County from the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) to cater for the infrastructural development at the institutions.
Area MP Tindi Mwale said the third phase of the kitty has been distributed to Marama South and Marenyo/Shianda wards towards completion and renovation works in the schools.
“We will continue to develop infrastructure in different schools within the region. This will enhance performance and offer a good environment for learning,” he said.
He commended the teachers and students for their good performance and continued support of his endeavours and development plan in the region.
Shianda, Shinyulu, Shibembe, and Mahondo Primary Schools were some of the schools that were issued with the funds for the completion and renovation works. They received Sh 800,000, Sh 1 million, Sh 500,000, and Sh 400,000, respectively.
