Members of the disciplined forces in South Nyanza region have been challenged to be God fearing and dedicate themselves to selfless service delivery.
Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo said the security personnel play a crucial role in national development and should seek spiritual guidance as they discharge their duties.
The legislator made the remarks Sunday during a church service at St Paul’s Catholic Church dedicated to the disciplined forces for southern Nyanza region.
She hailed the accord between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga saying the handshake had ensured faster development in the country.
Homa-Bay County Police Commander Esther Seroney urged members of the disciplined forces to be patriotic and serve Kenyans selflessly.
“God will reward each and every one of us who dedicate our lives to make the world a better place,” she said.
The Church service was attended by Homa-Bay Deputy County Commissioner Joseph Ngeny amongst other dignitaries.
