Bondo security team has intensified patrols at night to curb the rising cases of insecurity and ensure adherence to curfew directives.
The Sub County Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Mr. Richard Karani revealed that they already have a clear plan to curtail the runaway burglary and other insecurity incidences that have become common trend in Bondo town.
He told residents to expect frequent crackdowns and arrests of individuals walking past 10 in the night adding that the residents and traders should ensure that they are out of town before curfew time.
Karani who is also the sub county security committee chair who spoke to KNA stated that they have intelligence that the suspected criminals have been taking advantage of curfew to remain in town to commit burglary.
He affirmed that the patrols they have initiated will not spare anybody as long as they are not essential workers who are allowed at their work places past 10 in the night.
The deputy county commissioner on the other hand warned the public against defying the set COVID-19 rules, and threatened that they will not be lenient on anyone found flouting such regulations.
He urged the public to embrace social distancing, wearing of masks and washing of hands to help contain the spread of the deadly virus.
Karani disclosed that for the past three days, Bondo Sub County has not registered any coronavirus positivity case, thus they are out to maintain the trend.
