A section of businesses within Homa Bay town have remained closed due to fear of demonstrations.
A number of both large and small-scale traders opted to stay away from business today fearing the Azimio coalition protests could turn chaotic.
However, some traders were operating, albeit cautiously.
By the time of filing this story there was calmness within the town.
