Safaricom PLC has unveiled its latest customer reward campaign dubbed the “Shine Kenya Shinda Mamili kama Bingwa” promotion today at Kabati Market, Kitui West constituency in Kitui County.

This grand initiative aims at rewarding their customers with significant cash prizes while also benefiting the local communities.

The event marks the beginning of an eight-month journey where millions of Kenyans will stand a chance to win exciting prizes.

Under this promotion, 30 lucky customers will win Sh 1,000,000 each weekly. The excitement doesn’t stop there, as the grand prize winner will walk away with an impressive Sh5 million.

In total, Safaricom is targeting 2.5 million winners by the end of the promotion, ensuring that the benefits reach far and wide across the nation.

The initiative is designed not only to reward individuals but also to uplift communities through various charitable contributions.

Beyond the individual winnings, the weekly millionaires will receive an additional Sh250,000 each. This bonus is provided by the Safaricom Foundation to support any community initiative of their choice.

The grand prize winner will also receive an additional Sh1million for community projects. This dual focus on personal and communal rewards highlights Safaricom’s commitment to societal welfare and sustainable development.

Participation in the Shine Kenya promotion is straightforward. Customers need to transact on M-PESA or purchase the Shine Kenya Bundles. For every Sh 200 transacted on M-PESA and any Shine Kenya bundle purchase of Sh20 and above, customers will earn an entry into the weekly draw. This mechanism not only encourages regular use of Safaricom’s services but also makes participation accessible to a wide range of customers.

Qualifying M-PESA transactions include sending money (P2P), Lipa na M-PESA, or any transaction made through the M-PESA App, My Safaricom App, or by dialing *444#, *544#, or *334#. These multiple entry points ensure that every customer has a chance to participate and win, regardless of how they choose to engage with Safaricom’s services.
