The Rotary Club (RC) Nairobi- Milimani has vowed to support mental and environmental health as members celebrated the 36th Installation Ceremony and the District’s Centenary year in Africa.
The new president Yeddah B. Machage was inaugurated at an event that was attended by Past President Gichu Wahome and officiated by the Rotary District 9212 District Governor (DG) Elect Dr.Joe Kamau at a Nairobi hotel.
The Club, through a presentation by President Machage, outlined the club’s vision for supporting its flagship program dubbed Membership and Supporting Education Through Mental and Environmental Health which will focus on Leading Mental Institutions, Climate Risk Financing, Social Health Insurance, Performance Arts & Rotary Community Corps (RCC).
The new president Yeddah Machage (2024-2025) takes over from Jackie Njeru.
The Club hosts the largest Scholarship Beneficiary Fund and the only Peace & Reconciliation Project in District 9212 and has various programs under Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Interact Clubs to help children, youth, schools and vulnerable communities get the right support for education.
Also in attendance were; DG Nominee Wairimu Njage, Past DG Peter Mbui and Assistant DGs Dan Awendo, Gari Ananda, Saad Rahman and Betty Wariari together with representatives from club Rotaract Milimani, Interact Club-Starehe Boys and RC Kampala South (D9213) Uganda.
