A driver of an ambulance belonging to Busia County Referral hospital is being held at Busia police station after causing the death of a boda boda rider.
Confirming the incident, Busia County Police Commander John Nyoike said the rider died on the spot while a cyclist was slightly injured during the incident.
“Today at around 10.00am, a GK vehicle Registration number GKA 373 M was involved in an accident within Busia town along Busia Kisumu road,” he said.
Nyoike added that the body of the deceased was moved to the Busia County Referral Hospital mortuary while the injured cyclist was rushed to the health facility for treatment.
