Residents urged to report the presence of aliens in their localities

Kilifi County residents have been urged to report to the authorities the presence of strangers in their localities for action to be taken.
Kilifi County Commissioner Magu Mutindika warned that criminals could take advantage of the Christmas festivities to disguise as visitors as they planned to commit crimes in the region.
Addressing the public at Karisa Maitha grounds during Jamhuri Day celebrations, Mutindika told chiefs and their assistants to work closely with nyumba kumi members and village elders to ensure their areas were safe throughout the holidays.
He assured genuine visitors coming to the county that the area is safe adding security has been beefed up in all recreational sites where they would wish to visit.
County Governor Amason Kingi who was overcome by grief following the murder of his former deputy Kenneth Kamto Wednesday prayed that the gangsters will be brought to book soon.
Kamto was shot dead at his Mombasa Nyali residence at 4.30am by three armed men who escaped with sh.6000 from his guard.
