Residents in Nyakach are in high hopes of opened business opportunities

The  Nyakach residents  are in high hopes of enhanced business opportunities after the launch of Sondu-Got Kaseda road in the area.

They  are  optimistic the transport network will ease transportation of goods, services and generate a robust economy within the sub county.

“We are hopeful that the transport network by Kisumu county government will open new business opportunities and improve our livelihoods,” said Richard Bob, a local boda boda operator.

He  said the completion of the road as an alternative and shorter route for movement within Nyabondo, Nyakach girls and Sondu Market would boost their businesses with reduced operational costs.

“The  construction of the road will enable us to consume less fuel and reach Sondu market which we highly depend on faster,” he added.

The Sh.5 million road which was launched by County Executive Member (ECM) for Roads and Infrastructure, Thomas  Ondijo last week will take three months before completion.

While launching the road, the ECM said the opening of the road would complement linkages to agricultural produce and influence job creation.
