As the cold season makes its presence known in the country, you may as well stay far away from Elgeyo Marakwet if you fear cold and harsh weather with fog that will not allow you to see more than two feet ahead.
The weather did another solid one by offering the residents of Tembu village in Marakwet West a rare snowy feel.
The white substance which could be seen in the topography of Tembu left villagers wondering if indeed it was snow or hail.
Residents say they have been shocked since encountering the rare occurrence as they have only experienced snow through television but not in reality.
They want the Meteorological Department to clarify if it would continue to be a routine occurrence or just a one-time thing.
