Members of radio salaams clubs have been advised to leverage on their numbers to venture into income generating activities.
A business consultant Mark Yakulula has challenged members of Tusizame West FM radio salaams club in Nzoia ward in Likuyani Sub County to pool resources together and set up businesses.
He said this on Sunday while commissioning tents and maize shelling machine owned by the group.
“It is important that you embrace diversification because most of the common interest groups in this area are going for tents and chairs for hiring out,” he observed.
Yakulula, who is the coordinator of a poultry project dubbed ‘Likuyani kuku mia, Pesa mfukoni,’ donated 100-day-old chicks to the members.
“We want to economically empower our people by assisting them to engage in various business ventures,” he said.
The club chairman Charles Murunga thanked the businessman and promised that they would ensure that the project succeeds.
