Police in Ndhiwa Sub-county have launched investigations into the death of a 65-year-old granny who died under unclear circumstances at Komolo ‘B’ Village within Kachola Sub- location.
The body of the deceased identified as, Truphena Adoyo Ganga, was found today morning, lying on a footpath in the village.
The deceased’s son said that the granny was last seen at Kobodo Trading Center last evening before her lifeless body was found today by a pedestrian who raised alarm and reported the incident to the area village elder.
According to Assistant Chief of Kachola Sub-location, Richard Omolo, the deceased went to buy tobacco leaves at Kobodo Trading Center to sell back at home as usual but she never returned home only to be found dead this morning.
“At around 11.00 am I received a phone call that Truphena Adoyo Ganga, was found dead next to a homestead along the path,’ The Chief said.
Ndhiwa Sub-county Police Commander, Robert Aboki, confirmed the incident, saying there were no physical injuries on the granny’s body, adding that they are suspecting it was sudden death.
Aboki said that they have commenced investigations to determine what could have caused her death.
The deceased body has been moved to Manyataa Kobodo Mortuary, pending a postmortem.
