Police in Mbooni West sub-county have launched investigations to establish circumstances that led to sudden death of a 7 year old pre-primary school pupil on Monday.
Records from the police reveal that Enock Kyalo Kioko dashed out of the staffroom where he was being interrogated by the head teacher Dorcas Ndanu King’o to explain why he went with a 3 year child to his home last Friday without permission.
The deceased allegedly stumbled and hurt his head while running away from teachers at Testimony Academy School for fear of being punished yesterday afternoon.
Makueni county police commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan confirming the incident Tuesday said, “The boy sustained a head injury and started convulsing. He was rushed to Mbooni Sub-county hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.”
The body was taken to the Mbooni Sub-county Hospital mortuary for preservation, awaiting post-mortem to establish the cause of the death.
