Police in Masinga arrest man in defilement case

Administration Police in Masinga sub-county of Machakos have arrested a 48 year-old man suspected to have defiled his two nieces.
Confirming the arrest, Masinga police boss Francis Siror said the man is suspected to have been defiling his 10 year old niece who lives with him.
“The suspect is also alleged to have defiled the minor’s sister aged 12 years who leaves with her other uncle when she came to visit her sister,” said Siror.
According to the police boss, the two lived with their uncles after their mother died and their father was sent to prison for being in possession of bhang.
Siror said the heinous act was discovered after the 10 year-old girl revealed the matter to her class teacher
“The minor reported to her teacher that her uncle has been bothering her wanting to defile her again,” said Orir.
He condemned the act adding that the suspect is in police custody and will be arraigned in court once the investigations are completed.
The two minors have since been rescued and taken to  Matuu Vision Children Center in Yatta Sub-county of Machakos.
