Police in Kisumu have arrested two suspects after they were found in possession of stolen livestock.
The suspects identified as Steve Odhiambo and Adamson Odhiambo are being held at Kombewa Police station in Seme-sub County.
According to Upper Kombewa Chief Apondi Okuom, the two cows were stolen from the home of Rosemary Aoko within the location on Saturday night.
“After the incident, we issued a notice to all police stations in the county to trace the cattle,” he said.
The cows, he added were recovered by officers from Kondele Police Station who alerted him to identify them.
The incident comes amidst rising cases of insecurity in the area as government continues to enforce containment measures to curb spread of Covid-19 disease.
The increased cases of insecurity such as muggings within various parts of the county is causing anxiety and fear among the city residents.
