Police in Naivasha have arrested a middle aged man alleged to have killed an Administration police officer at Ndabibi area of Naivasha two years ago.
The suspect was said to have been on the run together with his accomplices and police have been pursuing them.
Naivasha CID boss Adan Ali said the suspect was arrested at Eburru forest near Gachuma village where he had been farming to hide his identity.
Adan further said police received a tip-off from members of the public and ambushed the suspect at the farm.
According to the police, the AP officer was attacked and killed using arrows by a group of youths when he went to the then clash-ridden area while off duty.
The CID boss told the press that they had been tracking the suspect and others after they went into hiding following the incident. Adan added that they were still in search of other suspects.
“We shall not rest until all those responsible for killing the police officer are brought to book and be charged with murder,” he said.
At the time of the attack, Ndabibi was witnessing bloody clashes among members of different communities living in the area over ownership dispute of the ADC farm.
