Pathologist conducts autopsy on slain Briton, findings undisclosed

A postmortem on the body of British National, Campbell Scott (58) was conducted on Thursday at Makueni County Referral Hospital mortuary by the Deputy Government Pathologist, Dr. Richard Njoroge.

However, Dr. Njoroge, who was accompanied by officers from the Homicide Division at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Nairobi, refused to disclose what killed Scott, whose body had been in the mortuary since Sunday.

“I cannot not speak today, not today,” said Njoroge when he was contacted by the media after he completed the postmortem Thursday afternoon.

The deceased’s family representative, David Hornus, who witnessed the postmortem, also declined to address the press.

Scott’s body was found at Makongo Forest by a cattle herder on Sunday in a sack that also had some pineapples. So far, a taxi driver and a waiter have been arrested and are helping police with investigations.

The homicide detectives took some samples for further examination.

The body was later transferred to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.
