Kisii High School Principal, Fred Mogaka, has advised parents to take charge of their children after they complete the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.
Speaking to KNA, Mogaka noted the first group of students went home last Friday and urged the parents to counsel them because they have not yet become adults who can make informed decisions on their own.
“The boys and girls have been confined in school and they are now coming home. Even if they will be free, let them have freedom with a lot of responsibility,” he said.
The Principal encouraged the guardians to engage their children in various activities to keep them involved adding that if the children are allowed to roam freely, some of them will not be around to receive their results come next year.
Mogaka thanked the Ministry of Education for ensuring that this year’s KCSE examination exercise was conducted peacefully and assured the Education Cabinet Secretary, Ezekiel Machogu that they will manage the schools effectively in the coming year.
