A  Pakistani national was on Wednesday arraigned in a Narok Court charged with stealing Motor  Vehicle Parts worth Sh.1.8 million from Rift Valley Agricultural Contractors Limited.

Jatinder Singh Gill, jointly with others not before the court, was alleged to have stolen two computer boxes, one gear box and sensors of tractors KAB 630 F, KAB 631 F and KAC 430 V property of Rift  Valley Agricultural Contractors Limited.

Gill  was arrested on 9th November this year at Jomo Kenya International Airport (JKIA) while boarding a plane to Pakistan.

He appeared before Narok Senior  Resident Magistrate (SRM), Hosea Ng’ang’a where he pleaded not guilty of the charges.

Through his advocate, Ken Kilel, the suspect pleaded with the court to release him on bail, saying he had already surrendered his traveling documents and work permit to the police.

Kilel observed release on bond was a constitutional right of all citizens and non-citizens and that the investigating Officer was not opposed to the bond terms.

The bond ruling was scheduled for  Thursday.
