Kisii County Governor, Simba Arati, successfully transitioned 714 Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE), teachers from contractual to permanent and pensionable roles at Gusii Stadium.
Arati revealed that out of 1206 applicants, 783 were shortlisted, with 158 pending contract considerations and 15 under scrutiny by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) due to alleged document falsification. Additionally, 265 applicants from outside Kisii County and 54 with identification issues were among those considered.
The Governor emphasized the importance of academic qualifications, expressing delight in the favorable job groups and salary ranges of Sh26, 000 to Sh39, 000 for the selected teachers.
