Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya last Sunday joined Christians at ACK St Teresa Mabole Parish in Butere to offer thanksgiving prayers for the recovery of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga from covid-19.
“We are thankful to God for healing my party leader. He had been admitted at Nairobi Hospital for some days and now he has been discharged,” stated Oparanya.
The governor lauded the church for its efforts to promote peace and unity in the country urging it to continue praying for the government.
He noted that a strong church will lead to a God-fearing nation calling upon Kenyans of goodwill to support the church in its mission of transforming the society and touching citizens lives.
Rev Dennis Ambunya, Vicar at the Parish, said they will continue praying for the patients of Covid-19 in order for them to heal.
“We give all the glory to God for healing Raila and other people who were sick. We will continue praying so that as a country we defeat this Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
