ODM Supporters want Politician to Stop Meddling with Party

A section of youth in Homa Bay County allied to Orange Democratic Movement party (ODM) have told the former Kibiri Ward MCA Kennedy Ondiek to stop meddling in the party affairs.

The youths alleged that Ondiek had defected from the Orange party to support the PDP party associated with Migori Governor Zachary Okoth Obado.

They asked Ondiek to focus on PDP and stop making reckless statements on the ODM Party and its leadership.

This follows recent remarks by Ondiek that criticized the party for suppressing upcoming leaders in Luo Nyanza region and claims that it lacked internal democracy.

Addressing the press in Homa Bay Town, the youth led by Fred Okwany accused the former MCA of fighting the party that sponsored him to Homa Bay County Assembly.

However, Ondiek rubbished the accusations saying his decision to support Governor Obado and the PDP is aimed at expanding the democratic space in Luo Nyanza so that the residents can have alternative parties.
