Nyeri named the 8th best performing County

Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has said that the County government of Nyeri is committed to delivering quality services and enhancing the lives of residents.

This is after the county emerged the 5th best County Overall in the 2024 CountyTrak performance index, with him named the 8th best performing Governor by Infotrak Research.

Speaking at his office today Dr Kahiga said this achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire County government, “working tirelessly to improve the lives of our people.”

He said the Infotrak survey, which gauges public perception, revealed that Nyeri residents believe their county is better than before devolution. “This positive feedback serves as a strong motivator for us to continue striving for excellence in all aspects of governance,” he added.

 The County boss said,’’ We remain committed to ensuring that Nyeri County continues to thrive, providing a brighter future for all residents.’’

Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata emerged best perming governor while George Natembeya and Gladys Wanga took second and third positions with 64 and 61 percent scores respectively.The survey that was conducted between November and December last year however showed that the county’s rating had dropped for a second year running.

According to the data from Infotrak, the county’s overall ranking has dropped to 65 per cent, down from 70 per cent in 2023. The data shows Kilifi County is the most improved, followed by Kiambu, Lamu, Samburu, and Mombasa.
