Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga hosted a delegation from the National Defence College (NDC) during a courtesy call at the County Headquarters in Nyeri Town.
Major General Yahya Sheikh Abdi, who led the team, said the college prepares senior military officers and equivalent-ranking civil servants from Kenya and their counterparts from selected allied countries for higher responsibilities in the management of security and other related areas of public policy.
The current cohort has participants drawn from Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Governor Kahiga was accompanied by Deputy Governor David Kinaniri, County Secretary Benjamin Gachichio, and other county officials.
