Former powerful cabinet Minister and career public servant Simeon Nyachae died on Monday at a Nairobi Hospital after a long illness.
The former politician who died at 88 years age served in Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s government as a Provincial commissioner and rose through the ranks to become the head of the Public service and Secretary to the Cabinet before joining polics.
he was instrumental in the politics of Gusii land and vied for the presidency on FORD People party ticket as Member of Parliament for Nyaribari Chache, a seat held until 2007 when he lost Dr Robert Monda. .
