Nominated MCA has 30 days to reconcile with NCIC on offending post

A Wiper Democratic Movement nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) who was charged with hate speech by Makueni court, has been given 30 days to reconcile with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC).

The accused, Lynnet Mbula Mutula who appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate James Mwaniki was told to reconcile with the NCIC who are the complainant failure to which he will give his ruling for the case to proceed.

However, the court turned down a request from the accused to be granted two months to reconcile with NCIC.

Ms Mutula is alleged to have posted the offending remarks in her face book account on November 19, 2017.

She is alleged to have written – “What is happening in Ruaraka? Mungiki in police uniform slaughtering NASA supporters mercilessly and Uhuruto is happy about it. So if you support NASA supporters you are not allowed to be in JUBILEE strongholds? They have decided to support Uthamaki by killing other tribes? How many Kikuyus are in Kisumu, Mombasa, Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Western etc.? The cursed tribe is all over like bacteria and very soon we will find a way of doing with them in our strongholds even if it means by chasing them physically and boycotting their businesses completely. Why do they think they are special than another and all life matters?”she posted.
