Two people died on the spot Tuesday night after a bus rammed a motorcyclist along the Oyugis –Kendu bay road
The 7.30pm accident happened at Kiwilo trading centre.
Both victims who included a female passenger and the boda-boda rider who hails from Aloo Centre near Oyugis town were heading to Oyugis town when the accident happened
The rider already only identified as Bovin is a form three student at Oriwo high school in Rachuonyo north Sub County.
Eyewitnesses said the bus KCP201A from Simba Coach company that was ferrying passengers from Nairobi to Kendubay town was negotiating a corner when it hit the motorcycle knocking the woman passenger off the motorcycle and dragged the rider about 50 metres away.
Area Sub County Police Commander Lilies Wachira confirmed the incident saying the victims’ bodies have been moved to Rachuonyo Hospital Mortuary.
Wachira warned motorists and other road users to be careful while on the roads to save lives in this festive season.
