Newly elected Nguu/Masumba ward MCA sworn-in

Makueni County Assembly Speaker Douglas Mbilu has sworn into office the newly elected Nguu/Masumba MCA Timothy Maneno who won the by- elections held on October 14.

Addressing the floor of the house after his swearing in, Maneno thanked the people of Nguu/Masumba ward for electing him and promised to complete the projects started by his predecessor, the late Harrison Ngui Musau who passed on through a road accident.

“Mr Speaker, I wish to give a replica of his character in serving the people of Nguu/Masumba by completing the projects that were left by my predecessor,” Maneno promised.

Speaking to the media, Maneno added that he would complete the construction of Early Childhood Development classes and Kinyua Water project by February next year.

Maneno, who was elected on an Independent ticket, garnered 2, 902 votes against his close competitor Daniel Kivuva (UDA) 2, 219 and Esho Mwaiwa (Wiper) who got 1,604 votes.
