Outgoing Nandi County Commissioner Geoffrey Omoding handed over to the incoming County Commissioner Herman Shambi.
Mr. Omoding who has served in the county for a period of 11 months was moved to Isiolo County.
Speaking during the ceremony attended by various heads of departments at the County Headquarters lawns, Omoding termed the Nandi station as the most collaborative with all the national government heads of departments in the County.
“I want to thank all the departmental heads for the support, teamwork and cooperation during my tenure as the CC. I have enjoyed working with you and I therefore urge you to extend the same to the incoming CC,” said Mr Omoding.
He urged the heads to extend the support to the incoming CC and to always consult his office in case of any assistance as they served the public.
On his part Mr. Shambi who was serving as the CC Isiolo County, pledged to work closely with the people of Nandi and ensure peaceful coexistence prevailed.
“I want us to work together in maximizing the energy of our youths who are facing the challenge of unemployment yet they comprise the largest population,” stated Shambi.
County Secretary Mr Francis Sang who represented the Governor applauded Mr. Omoding for the good work terming him as the best administrative leader who ensured both the County and National governments worked hand in hand.
“Mr. Omoding is one of the best Commissioners we have had in this county. As a county government we congratulate you for your leadership and managing skills. Even as you go we want to assure you that you gave the people of this county best of service,” said Sang.
